SDE is Pepsi's agency of record for its national Pepsi Street Motion initiative. We provide Pepsi with car culture lifestyle program design, strategy, management, oversight, leveraging of corporate and industry partners, sponsorship negotiation, online content, multicultural program execution, brand image direction, brand building and protection services.
Best Buy/Redline Entertainment
SDE was challenged with identifying and securing distribution rights to some of the hottest core action sports video properties for release through national mainstream retail. SDE responded by negotiating deals with top titles in skateboarding, surfing, motocross, and snowboarding that featured such athletes and icons as Tony Hawk, Dave Mirra, Mat Hoffman, Kevin Jones, Kelly Slater, and Jeremy McGrath. The "Tony Hawk's Trick Tips" title debuted at #1 on Billboard's DVD chart and was certified Platinum.
DUB
DUB Magazine, the original new automotive lifestyles magazine, is a strong partner of Pepsi and SDE. DUB Magazine's 2005 Car Show and Concert Tour visits 11 cities and the DUB Magazine Celebrity Car Showcase Tour makes over 100 stops nationally. The world's hottest luxury cars, customized celebrity vehicles, exotics, SUVs, sport compact tuners, choppers, streetbikes, performances by all star Hip-Hop artists like Trillville, Twista, Fabolous, The Game and Yin Yang Twins, a hit MC3: DUB Edition video game, Hot Wheels' Dropstars and DUB-City die casts and TIS Wheels are just some of the elements that make up the DUB experience. Hot Import Nights
Hot Import Nights is the hottest import and sport compact car show and musical experience in the nation. The Pepsi Street Motion Tour and SDE are integrally involved in this blistering 20-city tour. Check it out!
Scion
SDE has coordinated over 50 regional and local sweepstakes programs around the country with cutting-edge automaker, Scion (a division of Toyota). These programs have incorporated radio stations, college campuses, and retail partners such as 7-11, Chevron, Food 4 Less, Popeye's, etc.
Mitsubishi Motors
SDE brokered a partnership between Pepsi and Mitsubishi to enhance both companies' presence on the Hot Import Nights tour. Top automotive stylist, RJ de Vera designed a Mitsubishi Evolution with state-of-the-art custom modifications that toured the country, showcasing Pepsi and Mitsubishi as market leaders in the youth automotive lifestyle movement. At the end of the tour, the car was given away via an online sweepstakes that generated over 1.5 million entries.
Rockstar Games
A leader in the exploding video game industry, Rockstar boasts such best-selling titles as Grand Theft Auto, The Warriors, and Midnight Club. SDE coordinated what turned out to be Pepsi's largest grassroots sweepstakes in the company's history by teaming up with Rockstar and DUB Magazine to give away a Chrysler 300C as featured in the #1-selling game, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.
Warner Bros. Records
In addition to providing national distribution for Surfdog Records, Warner Bros. has commissioned SDE to help develop a car culture initiative to assist its urban marketing department in promoting some of its top developing hip-hop artists.
Surfrider Foundation
SDE / Surfdog Records has produced and commercially released a series compilations CD's, entitled MOM (Music For Our Mother Ocean) with proceeds benefitting the Surfrider Foundation, an organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of the world's oceans, waves, and beaches. Recording artists diverse as PEARL JAM, BECK, PAUL MCCARTNEY, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, BEASTIE BOYS, NO DOUBT, JIMMY BUFFETT, SNOOP DOGG, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, and many others donated their talents, enabling SDE / Surfdog Records to be the single largest donor in Surfrider's history.
Crusty Demons
The leading DVD series in freestyle motocross video teamed up with SDE and Surfdog Records for the release of a soundtrack album that featured artists such as STATIC X, ROB ZOMBIE, DEAD KENNEDYS, MINISTRY, and several others.
Tony Hawk Foundation
The charitable, non-profit Tony Hawk Foundation was established to promote and provide funds for high-quality public skateboard parks in low-income areas. Since its launch in 2002, the foundation has awarded over one-million dollars in grants to more than 260 skatepark projects throughout the United States, and has generated an additional $100,000 worth of ramp equipment and skate-product donations.
